Job Description:

Tasks

Once you join our team as Strategic buyer subcontracting services- LDG you will:

  • Define and implement purchasing strategy and standard processes for the Landing Gear (LDG) stream
  • Source global suppliers for subcontracting and contracting services in London and Hamburg LDG shops
  • Manage supplier performance and contract compliance, focusing on delivery, turnaround times, quality, and contract terms
  • Serve as escalation point for all LDG supplier issues
  • Collaborate with Group Purchasing Manager and secure access to supplier IP when needed
  • Ensure clear specifications through close cooperation with stakeholders
  • Lead supplier pre-qualification, approval, evaluation, and development
  • Prepare and review contracts, bids, and vendor agreements
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and analyze spanet trends
  • Ensure compliance with LH Code of Conduct and Competition Guidelines

Requirements

To be successful in the role you need:

  • University degree in economics, logistics, or procurement
  • Minimum 4 years of proven relevant experience
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, including legal terminology
  • Solid knowledge of logistics processes: physical flow, transport, planning, and purchasing
  • Strategic purchasing experience is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in process design is a plus
  • Proactive, independent, and collaborative team player
  • Creative mindset with the ability to identify improvement opportunities
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
