Job Title: Maintenance Electrician A
Job DescriptionAs a Maintenance Electrician A, you will be responsible for planning the layout of wiring and installing wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. You will diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
Responsibilities
- Install data and control wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Install and maintain power and control wiring to machines and equipment, connecting cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Operate machinery and equipment such as robot controllers and programmable controllers to program automated machinery, test for malfunctions, and verify repairs.
- Diagnose and repair or replace faulty printed circuit boards and other electronic components.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, and replace electric motor bearings.
- Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices.
- Perform maintenance duties within other maintenance disciplines, including the repair of mechanical malfunctions, assembly, installation, and repair of machines, pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems.
Essential Skills- Maintenance technician experience
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical skills
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, electrical wiring, and electrical schematics
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance and repair
- Experience in commercial building maintenance and facility maintenance
- Ability to apply advanced technical skills and knowledge
- Understanding of industry standards and government regulations related to electrical systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 4-7 years of directly related experience
- Ability to use safety equipment as required by Title 29 CFR 1910
- Valid State of Oklahoma Driver License
- Possession of basic hand tools and ability to use them properly
- Respirator training and certification
- Minimum of a 2-year Associate Degree or technical school
- Preferred valid Journeyman Electrician License
- Combination of experience and training may substitute for the education requirement

Work Environment
The position requires working in a physically demanding environment with frequent walking, handling, stooping, kneeling, and standing. There is occasional travel between facilities. The work environment exposes employees to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and varying noise levels. The typical work schedule is from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime.

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $66560.00/yr.
