Job Description
This role focuses on installing, configuring, and commissioning ground systems at new sites while ensuring high-quality electrical and network installations. You will support site preparation and cleanup, perform basic diagnostics and maintenance, and help maximize system uptime and reliability with a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission ground systems at new sites, including electrical and network components.
- Perform quality control and quality assurance checks on installed electrical and network systems to ensure they meet required standards.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic electrical and network issues, system faults, and site problems limited to basic configuration tasks.
- Prepare sites before construction crews arrive, including organizing materials, setting up work areas, and performing site cleanup.
- Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades to maximize uptime and improve overall reliability of ground systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, site surveys, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and compliance.
- Follow established safety procedures and bring a safety-first mindset to every task and worksite activity.
- Collaborate with team members and other site personnel to ensure efficient and timely completion of installation and maintenance activities.
- Use schematics and technical documentation to assemble, test, and verify proper operation of circuits and system components.
- Support basic mechanical and electronic repair tasks as needed to keep systems functioning properly.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of field service experience.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with assembly and maintenance technician tasks related to electrical and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience testing circuits and verifying proper system operation.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic electrical and network issues, limited to configuration-level tasks.
- Strong attention to detail when performing quality control and quality assurance checks.
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate records of installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Commitment to a safety-first mindset in all tasks and environments.
- Flexibility to work a variety of schedule structures, including day, swing, night, weekend, and rotational shifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in construction or similar field environments.
- in electronics, avionics systems, or avionics repair and troubleshooting.
- Experience performing mechanical repairs and basic system assembly.
- Comfort working with both electrical and network systems in an installation or maintenance context.
- Ability to adapt to constant operational changes and shifting priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

Work Environment
This role is based in the field at new and existing sites, where you will work around ground systems, electrical and network equipment, and construction-related activities. You can expect a hands-on environment that involves site preparation, installations, and maintenance in varying conditions. Work hours follow an array of schedule structures, including day, swing, night, weekend, and rotational shifts, and you must remain flexible as operational needs and schedules can change frequently. You will use tools and equipment related to electronics, mechanical assemblies, circuit testing, and basic network configuration while adhering to strict safety procedures and site protocols.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Richardson, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
