ABOUT US
Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging aviation environments.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Ramp Operations Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate all ground operations. Your leadership will ensure that cargo, baggage, and equipment are managed with precision and efficiency, contributing to seamless flight operations and exceptional service quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide CARGO operations training to the Ground Operations department, in the classroom, on the field, and online.
- Ensure personalized follow-up with candidates, in collaboration with the station managers involved, to achieve operational objectives.
- Evaluate cargo agents (and other positions related to CARGO) and support their ongoing training.
- Develop and maintain training manuals, courses, presentations, evaluations, and digital training tools.
- Keep training records of all employees up to date (completed, required, expired training).
- Issue certificates for completed training.
- Actively participate in the Integrated Management System (IMS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
- Perform any other task required by the company to ensure the efficiency of operations.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Experience as a cargo agent at YGL or other stations.
- Knowledge of Air Inuit operations and network.
- College diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Professional attitude and behavior (team spirit, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills, etc.).
- Ability to communicate in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, French, English.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Rotational position: 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off
- If the position is not filled locally:
- Air transport from Montreal as well as accommodation and meals are covered by the company for each rotation.
- The employee will be recognized as not having a designated base.
COMPENSATION
- Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy.
- Annual northern premium of $10,784 (if the position is filled by a local employee).
