Description
                                            The Calibration Technician provides in-house service to test, calibrate, record and label the instruments and equipment for conformance to established company standards.
    •     Uses calibration procedures and measurement systems to perform calibration of in-house equipment.
    •     Performs calibration of equipment as scheduled or as required and maintains all the records of calibration.
    •     Inspects parts and equipment to mechanical drawing or specification ensuring tolerances are maintained using appropriate inspection tools and following approved inspection criteria.
    •     When in-house calibration is not possible, technician works with the existing vendors for calibration onsite or offsite.
    •     Identifies new vendors for calibration as and when required.
    •     Releases purchase requests on time and works with vendors as needed. Maintains the calibration records of all the vendors.
    •     Organizes record keeping and equipment / tools arrangement in a systematic manner. 
    •     Participates and supports actively in the continuous improvement activities of the company.

 Additional Skills & Qualifications
                                            •  Three to five years inspection experience in a close tolerance environment as a calibration technician or instrument technician.
    •     Must have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, procedures, repair manuals, blueprints to address wide variety of test equipment and general purpose measuring.
    •     Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    •     Analytical, Mechanical & Electrical experience preferred.
    •     Knowledge & experience with precision temperature calibrations, temperature uniformity surveys, system accuracy testing (SAT), etc per AMS 2750 spec for furnaces, ovens, etc is a plus.
    •     Physical Dimensional Experience
    •     Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, pressure gauges, etc.
    •     Basic Electronics and Computer Skills
    •     Strong Customer Service Experience
    •     Computer literate and Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Working knowledge on SAP is a plus. 
    •     Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
    •     Knowledge of ISO 9000 & AS9100 a plus.
    •     Requires a valid driver’s license.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
