Your ImpactAs a Mechanical Assembler, you’ll play a vital role in building high-pressure oxygen cylinders used in aerospace applications. Your precision, consistency, and commitment to quality will directly impact product safety, performance, and reliability—helping ensure mission success every day.
What You’ll Do- Perform precision assembly using hand tools such as torque wrenches, crowfoot wrenches, and Allen wrenches
- Measure and inspect components using calipers, micrometers, and standard rulers to ensure exact specifications
- Follow blueprints, operation sheets, and detailed work instructions for assembly processes
- Adjust equipment based on testing results and process understanding
- Conduct testing for oxygen purity and moisture content; accurately record readings and results
- Maintain strict adherence to PPE and cleanroom standards to prevent contamination
- Uphold quality and safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized work environment
- Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as part of daily responsibilities
- Support additional tasks and production needs as assigned
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (or 2+ years of relevant experience in lieu of diploma)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive, high-precision tasks
- Ability to follow structured processes and technical instructions
- This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or aerospace environments
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and mechanical assembly processes
- Comfort working in cleanroom or controlled environments

Position Details- Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
- Location: Lenexa, KS
- Job Type: Full-Time 6-Month Contract (potential to convert)
- Schedule:
- 1st Shift (Mon–Thurs): 5:00am–3:30pm or 6:00am–4:30pm (must be flexible)
- 2nd Shift (Mon–Fri): 2:30pm–11:00pm (training will begin on 1st shift)
- All contractors start Day 1 at 6:15am
- Overtime, including Saturdays, may be required

Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
