About the Role

Morson is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our aerospace manufacturing client based in Broughton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing manufacturing engineering team supporting one of the most advanced aircraft production programmes in the world. You’ll work at the centre of a fast-paced production environment, driving continuous improvement, resolving technical issues, and supporting efficiency and cycle-time improvement projects across the assembly line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily on-shift, lineside support to production, resolving technical issues such as missing parts, non-conformities, concessions, and tooling concerns.

  • Identify, analyse, and resolve recurring technical issues beyond the scope of operators and First Line Managers.

  • Collaborate closely with production teams to enhance efficiency, productivity, and process adherence.

  • Manage work orders for non-standard or out-of-sequence work.

  • Escalate complex issues to supporting functions (Work Prep, Maintenance, MAP, Outstanding Work) when required.

  • Support capacity planning and management, anticipating workload fluctuations and skills requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement activities and contribute to achieving industrial excellence across manufacturing operations.

About You
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering – ideally within aerospace, or a large-scale global manufacturing environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • NVQ Level 4 / HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (desirable).

  • Familiarity with CATIA and SAP is an advantage.

  • A basic understanding of aircraft build philosophy would be beneficial.
