Summary:
Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies to support efficient manufacturing processes.
Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for production.
Lead and execute manufacturing plans to meet program goals and schedules.
Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements.
Provide producibility input for inclusion in project plans and document best practices.
Analyze design and build concepts to evaluate and enhance producibility and manufacturing feasibility.
Resolve technical challenges with significant impact on performance, cost, or schedule.
Coordinate and apply new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
Apply and promote lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree and typically 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline, or Masters degree with typically 3+ years of experience, or PhD with relevant experience in an engineering classification.
Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.
Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencing.
Prior experience working within Manufacturing Systems.
Proficiency using manufacturing tools such as PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, and GOLDesp.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
3+ years of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience leading or managing projects or teams.
3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.
Experience with space or military electronics manufacturing.
Experience in project management and work package estimating.
