Engineering Project Manager
28 - 38 per hour
Morson are currently supporting the recruitment of a Project Manager within an Aerospace production facility. Specifically our client is looking for a Project Manager with knowledge of Lineside Engineering that will look at the cost of multiple production areas and find ways to reduce it. You will need to look at more mature business areas to identify cost savings projects that have already been deployed and implement these into Single Aisle production areas.
The role is being offered on a 12-month contract with the possibility of further extension. It will require attendance on site full time in Broughton, North Wales. It is paying a rate of 28.41 per hour PAYE or 38.00 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities:
- Reduce costs of aerospace production lines.
- Improve and anticipate issues and resolving before they happen.
- Resolving long-standing issues or potential future improvements.
- Large emphasis on quality improvement so always looking to improve.
- Interface between operations and wider manufacturing engineering functions.
- Delivery of process improvements on safety, quality, cost and productivity.
Requirements:
- Experience of project management with deployment of cost saving projects.
- Strong engineering background, with lineside experience in a large manufacturing business.
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement.
- Cost saving project experience.
- Analytical.
- Problem Solving.
- Experienced knowledge of aircraft production, and engineering methods and procedures is highly desirable.
- Project/ CAPEX experience desirable.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
