PURPOSESITA is looking for a Product Manager to lead the evolution of its payment solutions within the passenger processing ecosystem. This role will drive the definition and delivery of secure, scalable, and modern payment capabilities that enable seamless passenger journeys and unlock new revenue opportunities for airlines and airports. Working at the intersection of platforms, partners, and customer needs, the Product Manager will play a key role in advancing SITA’s strategy toward integrated, cloud‑based, and ecosystem-driven solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Own and drive the roadmap for SITA’s payment solutions within the passenger processing and airport ecosystem.
- Define product vision, strategy, and value proposition aligned with SITA’s Platform and Ecosystem ambitions.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient payment capabilities.
- Engage with airlines, airports, and partners to understand needs, validate concepts, and shape product direction.
- Drive integration of payment capabilities into SITA products (e.g., self-service, digital channels, operational platforms).
- Ensure compliance with relevant payment regulations and standards (PCI DSS, regional regulations, etc.).
- Monitor product performance, adoption, and financial outcomes, driving continuous improvement and optimization.
- Support go-to-spanet activities, including positioning, customer presentations, and internal enablement.
- Work closely with ecosystem partners (PSPs, fintechs, acquirers) to expand SITA’s payment capabilities.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS- 5+ years’ experience working as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Technical Lead, or similar product‑driven role.
- Proven track record delivering digital or platform products within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
- Hands‑on experience working with enterprise or B2B customers, ideally within aviation, travel, or payments ecosystems.
- Experience defining and launching payment solutions such as payment orchestration, tokenization, fraud management, or settlement platforms.
- Experience contributing to customer co-innovation programs, pilots, or early‑adopter deployments.
- Background in air transport, aviation IT, or mission‑critical systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of regulated environments (e.g., PCI DSS, PSD2, data protection) is a significant advantage.
- Experience with large, integrated systems (e.g., DCS, airport systems, retail platforms, or financial/payment gateways) is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS- Solid understanding of payment ecosystems, including gateways, acquirers, PSPs, wallets, and alternative payment methods.
- Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, from discovery through delivery, scaling, and retirement.
- Ability to manage complex system integrations across airline, airport, and partner ecosystems.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across diverse teams and geographies.
- Expertise in backlog management, prioritization, and requirement definition aligned to business and customer value.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, API-first design, and modern payment platforms.
- Understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy considerations within payment environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Other degree backgrounds considered where experience demonstrates equivalent capability.
- Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, APM, or product management certifications are an advantage but not required.
- Payment or fintech-related certifications (e.g., PCI, payments fundamentals) are a plus.
