About the role

Plan, manage, co-ordinate and execute Qatar Airways global program of events and exhibitions, including destination inaugurals, product launches and air shows. Closely monitor events to learn best practices and latest innovations in order to successfully promote Qatar Airways brand globally.

Key Accountabilities include:

• Drive Events and Exhibitions initiatives from Head Office in key spanets through supporting the relevant regional/local office in planning and execution of planned activities.
• Develop framework of monitoring events management from concept to delivery to ensure they are delivered as per QR standards and within approved budgets.
• Develop guidelines and tools to effectively execute promotional events and programs whilst maintaining the Qatar Airways standards at all levels.
• Responsible for development and global implementation of Qatar Airways events, promotions and exhibitions programs to promote Qatar Airways brand.
• Identify opportunities to support other departments in their initiatives to promote the Qatar Airways brand at the regional and global level.
• Proactively ideate events, create an annual calendar of events for the business, and ensure that the support they need is delivered in time.
• Prepare and secure budgets for each component of Qatar Airways event and exhibition programs and ensure effective use to avoid unnecessary expenditures. Ensure that all events, exhibitions and associated projects are executed within assigned budgets and timelines.
• Keep track of gifts and giveaways aligned to the events and monitor the overall inventory inline to the allocated budget for such assets.
• Liaise with third parties such as event management companies, contractors, hotels, venues, organisers and suppliers to ensure all logistical and operational aspects of each event and exhibition combines to create experiences, which result in best in class across the airline industry.
• Develop effective planning and execution processes to ensure optimum and efficient results through providing project plan templates and guidelines that can be utilized at the broader organizational level.
• Develop an event evaluation summary report, which broadly assesses the outcome of the event, both from a financial and logistical standpoint and share with the line manager to ensure that such reports are reviewed to take corrective measures and to enhance processes, where required.
• For each event, develop a detailed staff-planning roster to avoid unnecessary deployment times and to maximize efficiency/productivity.

About you

• Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential
• 8+ years of job-related experience.
• Strong ability for project management with on-time and on-budget delivery of events & exhibitions or similar projects.
• Planning and project management.
• Proven record of accomplishment of developing, planning and executing successful events.
• Good understanding of international premium brands.
• Command of English language.
• Ability to create network of international contacts and manage relationships.
