Synopsis
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager – Consolidation & Tax to oversee the Group’s financial consolidation, statutory reporting, and tax compliance processes. The role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial submissions to senior management and external stakeholders, while maintaining compliance with local and international reporting standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in group consolidation, financial reporting, and tax management, with hands-on experience in Oracle FCCS. A solid understanding of UAE regulatory requirements, IFRS, and GAAP is essential, along with the ability to manage intercompany reconciliations and support audit and tax-related matters across the Group
Accountabilities
1. Consolidation & Reporting
- Supervise the timing of the full monthly financial close cycle, including consolidation and eliminations.
- Lead monthly Trial Balance (TB) submissions, ensuring validation checks are resolved and reporting is timely to all stakeholders.
- Review and approve changes to the reporting tool (FCCS) for quarterly reporting, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate quarterly FCCS data submissions, including Notes, Commentary, and other information as requested by the Shareholder.
- Manage and review eliminations (e.g., right of use assets) and other consolidation entries as required.
- Partake in quarterly review sessions with key stakeholders and respond to post-submission queries from the Shareholder.
- Oversee group inter-companies eliminations, ensuring accurate reconciliation and reporting across entities within subgroups and Shareholder groups.
- Prepare and consolidate commentary for FCCS submissions and ensure consistency across entities.
- Provide support for corporate accounting matters including business combinations, investment eliminations etc.
- Audit & Financial Statements
- Coordinate, review and clear engagement letters, financial statements and representation letters with management and auditors, including negotiations on pricing.
- Oversee all aspects of statutory reporting, including standalone and consolidated IFRS accounts.
- Ensure timely sign-off of financial statements and related documentation.
- Support year-end audit processes, including addressing auditor queries and providing technical guidance.
- Prepare analytical review packages for management and auditors.
- Tax
- Manage accurate and timely filing of VAT returns, Transfer pricing documentation and UAE Corporate Tax. Ensure all reporting to internal and external stakeholders is done on time.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors on tax planning and compliance matters.
- Lead tax audits and assessments, ensuring timely and accurate responses to FTA queries.
- Review tax reconciliations and maintain proper documentation for tax positions.
- Keep upto date with changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
- Lead projects such as implementation of e-invoicing in the UAE.
- Translate complex tax matters into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Regulatory & Special Projects
- Provide support for all aspects of IFRS-style reporting, including drafting disclosures and footnotes for financial statements.
- Regulatory reporting includes Country-by-Country Reporting (annual), Foreign Subsidies Regulation submissions (biannual) amongst other reporting from the Shareholder.
- Leading SAP4/HANA implementation for the Group Reporting module.
- Lead FCCS reconfiguration for structural transitions, in coordination with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Support ESG reporting requirements related to finance and related disclosures.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and a qualified ACCA/ACA/CA/CPA.
- 8–12 years of experience in financial consolidation, reporting and tax, preferably within UAE or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle FCCS, IFRS, and UAE financial reporting standards.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Transfer Pricing and Corporate Tax rules.
- Experience working with complex group structures and multi-entity consolidations.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Excel, and reporting tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
