ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As a Lead Software Developer (C), you will not only bring expertise in writing and delivering functionality, documentation, and unit test cases as part of an agile DevOps team but also play a critical role in driving transformation and innovation within SITA.
To successfully support SITA’s broader vision, you will need a strong foundation in AI & Data Science, a commitment to continuous development, and a deep sense of technical curiosity.
You may need to guide other developers and non-technical business colleagues on the best way to create software that is both useful to our customers and practical to deliver. You will be a senior member of a fully agile team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Write and deliver complex code and modules for new features debugs existing code and modules and as the technical lead guides less experienced Developers – FTEs, Contractors, Offshore Partner Resources - on such activities.
- Participate in the development of coding practices guidelines and all technical processes and ensure they are followed by less experienced Developers.
- Own the assignment and allocation of defects to appropriate Developers for fixing.
- Participate in gathering managing and analyzing requirements to design new application and system features.
- Be responsible for overall estimates produced by less experienced Developers on a team for all technical work.
- Uphold agile development principle and practices.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Demonstrated ability to deploy machine learning models for intelligent test coverage selection, reducing manual QA efforts.
- Proven experience in AI & Data Science, enabling automation of data processing pipelines that improved data reliability and reduced reporting turnaround time.
- Strong continuous development mindset with a track record of integrating CI/CD automation tools, driving faster and more reliable software delivery across global teams.
- Comfortable navigating legacy infrastructure challenges using infrastructure and network automation, achieving consistent environment provisioning and reducing configuration errors.
- Ability to collaborate across DevOps, QA, and Product teams to deliver AI-powered solutions that enhance user experience and support product innovation initiatives.
- 8+ years of experience in C and .Net development.
- Extensive experience designing and developing software applications in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Proficient with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with new database technologies.
- Experience working in agile or DevOps environments.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex software developments.
- Proven technical team leadership skills.
- Experience planning, describing, and implementing software architecture within an existing framework.
- Strong knowledge of Java, particularly from a Microservices perspective.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and application design concepts, including design patterns.
- Proficient in version control and source code management, preferably GIT.
- Ability to understand API specifications and integrate them into software solutions.
- Good understanding of networking concepts and the ability to coordinate multiple technical streams of work.
- Skilled in estimation processes, including comparative estimation and story points, and leading the estimation for small initiatives.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Experience of biometric hardware integration.
- Some cloud experience preferred.
- Any experience with Business Process Management or Content Management Systems would be a plus.
