Air Borealis is currently seeking qualified applicants for our Ground & Cargo Operations Manager position based in Goose Bay, NL.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the Cargo and Ground Team
- Effectively plan and implement methods and procedures to ensure that all operational requirements are met.
- Provide effective account management to current client base.
- Implement, maintain and supervise all safety/security/compliance measures related to people, equipment and facilities within the operation.
- Ensure all paperwork related to Cargo & Ramp operations is accurate.
- Ensure proper handling and delivery of cargo.
- Maintain safe operation of warehouse, vehicles and equipment.
- Scheduling, monitoring and evaluating all departmental staff.
- Monitoring and measurement of operational objectives.
- Up to date monitoring and evaluating all departmental staff.
- Review operational targets and create recommendations and strategies to meet company objectives and budgets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in airline operations
- 2+ years of supervisory/management experience.
- Post-secondary degree in Business Management would be considered an asset.
- Knowledgeable of applicable cargo handling and Transport Canada regulations
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, ramp operations and freighter handling is required
- Experience in enhancing operational efficiency and safety
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be detailed and driven with the ability to process information quickly.
