As the Culinary Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in translating Qatar Airways’ brand characteristics into a world-class airline cuisine experience. You will ensure that all food and beverage menu planning meet Qatar Airways’ exceptional standards, driving consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction across the global network. Through your specialized expertise, innovative menu development, and practical support, the role fosters seamless collaboration with suppliers and the broader Catering Services Team to maintain five-star excellence.
Some of the tasks include the following:
- Support sourcing opportunities by researching suppliers to enhance product consistency while optimizing costs
- Participate in product development, providing support on design and meal enhancements to internal teams.
- Provide comprehensive culinary support in developing new menus for designated stations and caterers and ensure consistent menu planning structures, timelines, and requirements for all routes and meal services.
- Preparing reports after duty travel for senior management, to identify supplier performance & service quality.
- Managing external catering partners - Both onsite and remotely for daily operations, for appropriate menu and catering performance.
- Analyze, adjust or redevelop/refine menu items suitable for all cabin classes, including crew meals.
- Work with QRCS compliance teams to maintain & manage Culinary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) covering food safety, storage, preparation, and food service execution.
- Perform other department related duties as directed by Line Manager or Head of Department.
