As an Assembly Duty Manager you will be responsible to independently handle the Shift Operation and managing all operational aspects of the Assembly Department and act independently when the need arises.

Responsibilities:

• Manages all operational aspects of the department during the shift to ensure a timely delivery of services to the customer.
• Manages the shift schedule to ensure productivity KPIs, HACCP targets and Overtime are maintained within the parameters set by senior management.
• Holds daily shift briefings to assure all staff are aware of the day to business and changes of the customer requirement.
• Ensures that work safety procedures are maintained and trained to avoid work place injuries.
• Analyses existing processes and procedures and proposes changes to increase efficiencies.
• Liaises with airline representative to ensure the policies/procedures relevant to the operation are implemented.
• Reports all non-conformances, investigates and ensures corrective actions are implemented and reported to the Senior Management.
• Assures compliance with QR Occupational Health and Safety policies, legal compliance with labor law and Health authority.
• Reviews the overtime management of the department and maintains the departmental KPIs to advise on impact of process or product changes
• Conducts spot-checks internally and externally in order to ensure that customer specifications are adhered.
• Liaises regularly with all associated sections to ensure timely availability of information, equipment and product for the functionality of the department.
• Reports equipment failures and follows up to assure functionality of the department.
• Prepares concise investigation reports of flight delays/accident/incident or any other operational emergencies to initiate and enable relevant action.
• Creates appropriate audit programs to provide an objective, measurable assessment of the departments performance.
• Maintains up to date communication regarding flight changes within department.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelors level.

Minimum 5 years relevant experience.

• Sound knowledge of airline catering operations and rostering/scheduling.
• Ability to effectively manage working hours to ensure productivity.
• Ability to perform under high work pressure.
• Good command of English language, written and verbal.
• Effective communication /presentation skills.
• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage process flows.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
