Structures Mechanic
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking unlicensed Structures Mechanics with experience performing body and structural repairs on commercial aircraft for an opportunity in Tampa,FL.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Structures Mechanics will fabricate, repair, replace and rebuild aircraft parts and structures on commercial aircraft in compliance with policies, manuals, procedures and requirements.
Qualifications and requirements:
- 24 months of commercial aircraft relevant experience is 737, A319/320/321 and 767
- Must have the minimum tools as required.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must have valid DL Driver's License
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- We are a 24/7 operation, so candidates must be willing/able to work any shifts, including weekends. There will be NO shift/RDO preferences accommodated as they will be placed where needed.
- Candidates must be able to pass a 10-year federal background check in order to obtain a SIDA badge from the airport. The background check process should ensure contractors are NOT submitted if they have committed any of the disqualifying offenses on the TSA list.
- They will not accept candidates who have had a failed, or refused, DOT drug and/or alcohol test in the last 2 years. For licensed positions, they should have a clear license in good standings.
- For structures positions there will be a skills test that includes a written and practical exam. Failure to pass the skills test will result in termination of the contractor's assignment.
- All candidates should have the ability to read, write, and speak/comprehend English. This is an FAA requirement that we must uphold.
