Mobile Response Team Technician – Direct Placement

PDS Defense is seeking skilled Mobile Response Team (MRT) Technicians.

This is a direct placement, off-site position where adaptability, technical precision, and a passion for aviation excellence are essential.
- Perform AOG (Aircraft on Ground) maintenance and repairs on-site at various locations.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and return aircraft to service in accordance with manuals, regulations, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with avionics, structures, and composites teams to complete multi-discipline maintenance tasks.
- Conduct mechanical/electrical removals and installations.
- Travel extensively (up to multiple weeks at a time) to support operational needs.
- Maintain MRT truck or rental vehicle, tools, and worksite readiness.
- Serve as a Delegated Inspector (DI) when qualified by QA.
- Audit assigned work areas and equipment monthly to ensure compliance and safety.
Qualifications
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Minimum 3 years aircraft maintenance experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex aircraft systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers and team members.
- Basic set of hand tools and the ability to maintain and account for them.
- Ability to work unscheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Capacity to work outdoors in seasonal/inclement weather.
- Available for extensive travel with as little as 2 hours’ notice (assignments up to 30 days).
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Valid passport with ability to travel internationally.
- Ability to work independently in remote environments.
- Eligibility for Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
Preferred
- Experience on Challenger or Global aircraft models.
- FAA or military aviation maintenance background.
