Technical Support Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Broughton (near Chester) (Onsite)
Contract Duration: Until 3 November 2026 (Likely to be extended)
⏰ Hours: 35 per week (4.5 days, between 7am – 7pm)
Pay: 26.92/hr PAYE 36.00/hr Umbrella
Morson is currently recruiting a Technical Support Engineer for our aerospace manufacturing client in Broughton.
This role offers a great opportunity to work within a world-class production environment, supporting key manufacturing operations and driving continuous improvement across the shopfloor.
As part of the production team, you’ll provide hands-on, lineside technical support, ensuring efficient production flow and contributing to operational excellence targets within your area.
Key Responsibilities

Provide daily on-shift lineside support, managing technical issues, missing parts, non-conformities, concessions, and outstanding work.

Identify, analyse, and resolve recurring technical issues not manageable by operators or first-line managers.

Support Work Order Management, including prioritisation of serial and rework orders linked to non-conformities or concessions.

Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to maintain workflow and address technical problems.

Anticipate capacity fluctuations and assist in resource planning across the product life cycle.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to LEAN and waste elimination activities.

Ensure EHS and Quality standards are applied consistently across the station, helping identify and resolve near misses.

Support industrial assets management, including repair requests, tool calibration, and specification for new jigs and tooling.
Skills & Experience Required

Proven manufacturing or lineside experience (essential)

Strong understanding of aerospace or complex production environments

Knowledge of engineering methods and production processes (highly desirable)

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

A systematic, organised, and innovative approach to work

Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills

Experience with LEAN manufacturing principles

SAP experience preferred
