Quality Engineer (Design Assurance)
Location: Fareham
Salary: 40,000 – 50,000 + 10 Annual Bonus
On-site: 4 Days per Week Half Day Fridays Permanent, Full-Time

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with strong design assurance experience to join a leading aerospace and defence engineering organisation based in Fareham.

You will play a key role in ensuring that products and processes meet stringent aerospace standards, while driving continuous improvement across design, development, and production.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and implement quality assurance plans for aerospace design and development projects

• Review and approve technical documentation to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards

• Conduct project audits and ensure adherence to AS9100, ARP4754, DO-178C, and DO-254

• Manage QA interfaces between engineering teams, suppliers, and customers

• Identify, manage, and resolve non-conformances and deviations

• Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce non-quality costs

• Act as the focal point for all project-related quality activities

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience

• Experience working within aerospace, defence, or regulated engineering environments

• Solid understanding of design assurance and aerospace standards (ARP4754, DO-178C, DO-254, AS9100)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to influence and drive improvements

• Eligible to work on sensitive NATO projects (must be a citizen of a NATO country)

• Able to commute to Fareham (within roughly 45 minutes) or open to relocation
