This position will be responsible for the development of new manufacturing operations and processes. This ranges from an introduction of new prospective equipment to advanced fabrication strategies and creative ingenuity. In this role, there will be opportunity to build manufacturing procedures and methods for the latest cutting-edge evacuation slides and rafts during their development and throughout its fabrication.

Main Objectives:
•tManufacturing Engineering support for New Slide programs and improvement efforts where development is required.
•tCommunication with Design Engineering and production departments in various facilities to ensure manufacturability and standardization throughout development
•tBill of material review and validation for New Programs
•tProvide fact-based recommendations for make vs buy decisions.
•tProcess design through common methods, such as tooling, instructions and equipment.
•tEngineered solutions to Improve process and workstation safety
•tProposals for Tooling and process equipment design for standards and quality improvements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•tProblem Solving and Process design through common methods, such as tooling, instructions and equipment.
•tCreation and maintenance of Cutting and other process work instructions when needed
•tPrototype and test procedure design for new manufacturing processes and improvements.
•tSupport for introduction of new production lines
•tSupport for resolution of safety and Customer claims issues for new programs
•tPresentation at Program Reviews and equipment Capacity Analysis
•tPFMEA creation and update support
•tAssistance with monitoring and maintenance of labor standards and reporting
•tTooling and process equipment design for New Programs
•tPrototype and test procedure design for new manufacturing processes and improvements.
•tIndustrial project management
•tProvide and maintain work instructions when needed
•tAssistance with establishing accurate labor standards
•tAdheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture
•tRegular, predictable attendance is required
•tOther duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
BSIE, BSME or Process Engineering degree required plus 1 to 3 years postgraduate work experience

Knowledge/Skills
•\tHands on Equipment troubleshooting - Basic
•\tAbility to design tools and aids - Advanced
•\tAbility to understand and interpret engineering documents. - Basic
•\tExperience with CAD software. Preferably Auto Cad, Solid Works, or Catia - Basic
•\tMust have strong computer skills and excellent communication skills. - Advanced
•\tDemonstrated Project Management Skill preferred
