An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland sp. z o.o. as an Experienced AvionX Software Engineer, based in Gdańsk, Warsaw or Rzeszów, Poland.
Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft spanets.       
As an Experienced AvionX Software Engineer you will join the AvionX Poland team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing AvionX.
Hiring details:
- This requisition is for a locally hired position in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll. 
- This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Gdańsk, Warsaw or Rzeszów office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. 
Position Responsibilities:
- Utilizing modern programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems 
- Performing engineering activities including architecture design, requirements review, software development, integration and testing 
- Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals 
- Project estimation and planning 
- Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing 
- Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations 
- Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation 
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 
- 3+ years of professional experience 
- Experience in C/C++ programming language and at least one other high-level modern programming language 
- English proficiency 
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Willingness to learn and work with new technologies 
- Experience in building custom Linux -Embedded systems (Yocto, Bitbake etc.) 
- Experience in low level Linux programming (kernel modules, device drivers etc.) 
- Experience in debugging and analyzing Linux kernel operations 
- Knowledge of Linux networking stack,  FreeRadius, Wireshark, OpenSSL, PKI 
- Experience in Linux OS administration 
- Demonstrated design and system thinking skills
