F-16 E&E Technician II (Electronics & Environmental) – Luke AFB, AZ
Location: Mesa, AZ (with travel/deployment opportunities)
Schedule: Full-Time | Must be flexible (nights/weekends as needed)
Clearance: Must be eligible for Secret Clearance
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced F-16 Electronics & Environmental (E&E) Technician II to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and environmental systems on advanced fighter aircraft.
This role is critical to ensuring aircraft readiness, safety, and mission success in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair F-16 electrical and environmental systems
- Diagnose faults in:
- Power generation & distribution systems
- Flight controls, lighting, fire detection
- Communications, navigation, and avionics systems
- Remove, repair, and install:
- Wire harnesses, connectors, and LRUs
- ECS systems (bleed air, air conditioning, oxygen systems)
- Turbines, valves, and generators
- Interpret technical orders, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Perform:
- System testing using built-in test equipment (BITE)
- Calibration, disassembly, and reassembly of components
- Conduct line and heavy maintenance activities
- Complete maintenance documentation and close discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with safety, QA, and regulatory standards
- Provide OJT and technical guidance to junior technicians
Required Qualifications
- USAF 5-Level (or equivalent) – E&E Technician
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on F-16 E&E experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical systems
- Environmental control systems (ECS)
- Aircraft wiring and troubleshooting
- Experience with:
- Technical orders (T.O.s) / maintenance manuals
- Aircraft diagnostics and fault isolation
- Ability to:
- Work in high-tempo environments
- Meet deadlines and solve complex technical issues
- Must be able to obtain:
- Common Access Card (CAC)
- Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- USAF 7-Level (E&E)
- Fighter aircraft maintenance background (F-16 highly preferred)
- Experience supporting line + heavy maintenance operations
Work Environment & Requirements
- Ability to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work in confined spaces and elevated areas
- Perform in extreme weather and hazardous environments
- Exposure to:
- Noise, chemicals, and aircraft systems
- Must be willing to:
- Travel domestically and internationally
- Deploy overseas as required

- Valid U.S. Passport (minimum 6 months validity beyond assignment)
- Eligible for international work authorization/visa
- Must meet all security, compliance, and host nation requirements
