Job Title: Avionics Installer Job Description
We are seeking an Avionics Installer I on a contract basis. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who has a passion for aviation electronics and is looking to grow in the field. You will be responsible for assisting in the removal and installation of avionics electrical components, as well as fabricating wire harnesses and conducting functional tests of avionics/electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring, electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment following blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
- Complete tasks within the allotted time frame.
- Maintain required logs and records accurately.
- Comply with company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and safety regulations.
- Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned.
Essential Skills- High School diploma or GED.
- General knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Ability to use a multimeter.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills and general software knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Six months accredited schooling in aviation electronics or general electrical experience preferred.
- Technical Certificate in aircraft electrical assembly preferred.
- Successful completion in current year youth apprenticeship program in area of expertise is advantageous.
- Experience with small gauge wire, automotive, radio, or fiber cable.

This position operates in a climate-controlled environment with all necessary tools provided. Candidates should be comfortable working in various positions and shifts, including in tight spaces.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.66 - $25.66/hr.
