Job Description
As an Aircraft Electrician, you will perform avionics troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, and modifications to the avionics and electrical systems for F/A-18 aircraft. Modifications may include upgrades to radar packages, communications equipment, and other potential enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Perform avionics troubleshooting and repairs.
- Install and maintain electrical systems on F/A-18 aircraft.
- Conduct modifications on avionics systems including radar and communications upgrades.
- Work with fiber optic installations and aircraft electrical harnesses.
- Interpret and apply schematics for electrical systems.
Essential Skills
- 4 - 7 years of experience in depot or heavy maintenance on aircraft electrical systems, with fighter jets experience preferred.
- Proficiency in avionic troubleshooting and installation.
- Experience with F-18 aircraft is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Navy Ratings of AE or AT.
- Must be eligible for SECRET clearance.
- Eligibility for a Boeing badge with no terminations on record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with O-Level and Operational Level Maintenance.
- Familiarity with fiber optic cable installation and maintenance.
- Experience with NAV - magic box systems is highly preferred.

Work Environment
The role requires flexibility to work on either the 1st or 2nd shift. Work will be conducted in a hangar and occasionally on the flightline. The environment is mostly indoors and not exposed to the elements, although the hangar is not climate-controlled.

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
