The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Mid-Level) to join the team in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join The Boeing Company in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team for 737 Field Operations within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring EHS programs that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the successful applicant will help drive initiatives that minimize environmental impact and enhance workplace safety, contributing to Boeings commitment to a sustainable future in aviation.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes.
Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations.
Plans and conducts health and safety audits.
Support production operations through identification and mitigation of risk.
Interfacing with various organizations and departments.
Participate in incident investigations.
Identify and develop corrective action plans to respond to internal/external audits and inspections.
Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively on cross functional teams.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
3+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
Experience with aircraft ramp and/or decorative paint operations
Experience developing and implementing process improvements
Experience with Enablon

Summary pay range: $105,400 - $142,600
